Congratulations to the OSB dressage team who won the team competition at the BYRDS Open Show at Bedgebury Park on 9 April. The team was Claudia Thornett, Rebekka Barrow, Eve Manning and Jamie Sterritt, who all rode excellent tests.

Golden Cross - 8th January

OSB competed in the Dengie Winter League Dressage Preliminary Round held by Eridge Branch at Golden Cross on 8 January 2011.  Jamie Sterritt on Daisy won the Novice class on 70.4% (joint first) and were 4th in the Open Class on 70.3%.  They qualified for the area competition in both classes.  Kelly Bowring was also placed in the Open class, coming 5th on Rocky.

Dengie Winter League

The 2010/2011 Dengie Dressage Winter League has begun! OS & B have done exceptionally well at Lord Leconfield Pony Club Branch Show at Sands Farm on October 23^rd , in the Novice section a large class of 23 competitors of a very high standard, Eve Manning was 2^nd and Georgia Davis 3^rd both on 66.8 with only 1 collective mark between them.

 In the Open Claudia Thornett riding Jubilee Sandpiper came 2^nd on 66.9; all three competitors have now qualified for Area at Golden Cross on the 27 February 2011.

The Dengie Winter Dressage is open to all members and in the preliminary rounds the tests can be commanded, the next chance to qualify is on 20^th November at Sands Farm held by Surrey Union, download a schedule from there web site, 27^th at Sands Farm again held by Crawley and Horsham, 28^th November at Sandhurst Farm held by Eridge, sadly no other local competitions are being held until 25^th February at Royal Leisure 2011 held by Southdown West. The first four in each class qualify and you can qualify at any area pony club branch but have to attend our own Area 11 Competition. The Championships are held at Warwickshire College on Sunday 17^th April 2011. On Saturday 16^th April is the Dengie Show jumping Championships so if you are really clever you could qualify for both!
