Cowdray
Park Polo Championships
Last year a record five OS & B
teams qualified for the Pony Club Polo Championships at
Cowdray Park 6-8th August 2010. It was a great achievement
for all the children involved and everyone enjoyed three
days of polo, the famous Saturday night party and the
following successes:-

Easter holidays where they won the Surtees section.
"Longdole was our first
arena competition this year. We came third in our section and
the other OS&B Surtees team (Jack Hyde, Charlie Holley and Seb
Hancock) did brilliantly and came first in their Section. Emily
was in the pool at the Vaux Park tournament and ended up playing
for Tiverton B with Monty and Brigitte (who was playing in her
first ever competition). They played really well and Emily
scored 6 of the 7 goals leading the team to a Jorrocks victory"
by Will Golding.

"Will (Golding) was playing with Katy Bernard and Claudia
Thornett for their second outing of the season at Vaux Park.
They worked really well as a team and the horses and players
were much more relaxed on their second outing. There was some
very exciting polo and mummy couldn't watch as she was so
nervous. They were very successful and came third in the Surtees
group. It was a lovely day and thank you to Vaux Park and the
organisers for such a brilliant competition" by Emily Golding.
